Stocks surged after the Fed left rates unchanged.

The Russell 2000 rallied +1.92%. The Nasdaq Composite carried +1.25%.

Consumer discretionary, industrials, financials, communications, tech and basic materials all gained more than 1%. Healthcare and energy were the only negative sectors.
